Plato

Book V 452-454

Controversy:

'Plato with Socrates and Glaucon.'

-But is not a woman by nature very different from a man?.

Certainly.

say that these different natures should do the same things.

A noble thing is the power of the art of controversy.

subject of their argument by analysing its various forms, but will urge

of the word, dealing with one another by contention, and not by

scientific argument.-
